REPLACE TEETH WITHOUT SURGERY
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. This dental prosthetic consists of one or more false teeth held in place by two crowns attached to teeth on either side of the empty space. This restorative solution is cost-effective and minimally-invasive, and the results look and feel more natural than a partial denture.
If you are missing one or more teeth and you are interested in replacement options, a dental bridge may be right for you. During your consultation, Dr. Milner will examine your teeth and gums, and discuss all of your prosthetic options. Call us today to schedule your appointment and start the process to get your smile back. You can reach our team at (601) 932-8920 or stop by the office at 4500 I55 N, Suite 266, Jackson, MS 39211.
Benefits of Dental Bridges
Dental bridges offer unique benefits for patients with missing teeth. First, they restore the ability to chew and speak properly, and help people suffering from tooth loss return to their daily lives with confidence. A dental bridge also ensures that patients maintain their face shape after teeth have fallen out or been extracted, and filling the empty space prevents remaining teeth from shifting in the mouth.
The Placement Process
Bridges rest on the healthy teeth (known as abutment teeth) on either side of a gap. To prepare your abutment teeth for the placement of a dental bridge, Dr. Milner will shape them and ensure that the bridge will fit exactly. Local anesthetic is used to keep you comfortable, and sedation is available if you feel it would be helpful. After your abutment teeth are prepared, Dr. Milner will take impressions and scans of your mouth in order to make a custom bridge that will fit in with the rest of your smile. Once your definitive bridge is created, Dr. Milner will attach it and you’ll leave our office with a restored, complete smile.
